As part of Wheatland Township’s mental health and wellness support initiative, we are now offering monthly educational topics led by Trustee Matt Glowiak, PhD, LCPC, CAADC, ACS, NCC.

Meetings will be held for 1 hour ahead of the monthly Wheatland Township Regular Board Meetings beginning on Thursday, July 9th from 6:00p-7:00p central. The meeting will take place in the Wheatland Township meeting room (4232 Tower Court Naperville, Il 60564) as well as streamed live for those interested.

Our first topic will provide a general overview of mental health and addiction with an opportunity for residents to ask questions. During the opening educational topic, Dr. Glowiak will also solicit suggestions from residents insofar as topics they would like covered in the months to follow (e.g., social media, bullying, community mental health, specific diagnoses, etc.).

It is important to note that this is an educational session and not a therapeutic support group. While difficult topics may be discussed/explored, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, et cetera will not be offered. Further, as an initiative meant to serve all interested residents, any political questions, comments, or otherwise are to be reserved for the monthly Board Meeting. This is a non-partisan educational session.
